Some people may be ok with taking what they can get and accepting more than they should but for those of you who don't... we're on the same page. In love and relationships there is always compromise, otherwise there won't be a relationship. But there is a zigzag line between compromising and settling. You see financial "standards" are a little more difficult to some people but I'll map it out for you. You can't realistically tell a man or woman that they have to be able to supply a lavish lifestyle that you've never even experienced. I mean, you can but seriously theres a name for people who do... GOLD DIGGER!!! So it's safe to say someone who works as hard as you do or can match you is a fair standard. True, everyone falls on hard times, so take that into consideration but remember to count the days too. It is so easy to be taken advantage of. But money is not the only standard you have to set. You still have to think about the respect factor.. the "do's and don'ts". Attention, may not be for all people, but to a lot of us Attention is a big factor; time, energy and the company of your companion can make or break a relationship. Now it's unfair to demand a 24/7 schedule but it's only fair to make it a priority. Physical presentation means a lot and it should mean a lot to both of you. You don't want to walk in the restaurant looking like you just tore down the mall while your "boo" still looks like last nights after hour hang over. When you know he's gonna be fly MATCH HIS FLY! Ladies, don't come out looking like a hoodrat and wonder why some other woman is trying to snatch up your neat, clean, tapered man. The standards you set say a lot about you; not only what you have done and seen but they reflect what you think of yourself. And regardless of how anyone tries to make it seem, you deserve to have those things, you deserve to have certain things you deserve to be happy. Don't settle because someone else is slacking.
